The 1^st Global University Film Awards Ceremony was held on 9^th November, 2018. Mrs. Kathy Lan, the President of Golden Sun Film Group, and Mr. Lai Kin Fung, Chief Operating Officer of Golden Sun Film Group, were invited to attend. The ceremony invited Oscar Best Art Director Winner Yip Kam Tim, famous Director Mr. To Kei Fung, Documentary Filmmaker Chan On Kei, Animator Hui Shing Ngai, Artist Fala Chen and other famous people in the industry presented awards to the winners. In the end, the current Annual Gold Medal was won by the participants of the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, while the Indian Film and Television Academy became the winner of The Best Documentary.

 

The "Global University Film Award" (GUFA) was formerly known as the "Global Chinese Universities Student Film and Television Festival" (GCU). It was the first time expanded to different countries and regions around the world. Hope to open up new generation of filmmaker’s eyes. Also showing the unique film culture of different countries which can bring new thoughts.
