“Another Chinese Cop” is edited from a kidnap case that shocked Hong Kong, Macau and China. “King of Shenzhen”- Thai is a former of martial art’s tutor in Shenzhen. He falls in love with a night club singer “Dan”. In view of a sense of greediness, he collaborates with others to kidnap a rich businessman“Sham” and ask for a large amounts of cash as a ransom.    

The whole case is handled over to a Shenzhen investigator “Lee” and his team, Lee is called as “Another Chinese Cop”, as he had been solved many case. Wah is an assistant of Lee, he is also a former of martial art’s member. Both of them make an intense effort to solve the case. After Thai uses the bomb to get the ransom, he even kills the victim. Wah finds out that Shum is killed by Thai, but Thai is a benefactor of Wah, he was in a dilemma whether in comradeship or in justice. At this moment Wah worry by a reporter chasing this case, as well as the chief of police gives him pressure by limiting time to solve case. At last Wah decides to the justice side, go through very dangerous process to arrest Thai and Dan.
