After the Ma Kwan Treaty was signed between China & Japan, the foreign powers stepped up their efforts to divide China up. Once again China was thrown into turmoil with civil wars springing up everywhere between different warlords.

Living through these tumultuous was an honest farm boy called Kam, he was an outstanding student of kungfu. Kam goes to the city in search of his father who’d disappeared some 5 years before.

Kam’s father went to the city for business and befriended a certain Iron Monkey, a legendary hero of the revolution. When Iron Monkey was in trouble, Kam’s father donated all his money to the revolutionaries in an effort to help secure Iron Monkey’s freedom; during the course of this he had a row with a local gangster, “Snow Fox”, who blinded him. In order to survive he was forced to became a blind singer on the streets and was too ashamed to return home to his son.
