Fong Yi Chun is a widow.  She sings in a night club to earn a living for her and her daughter.  Her daughter wants to be a actess when she grows up.  Therefore, Fong teaches and trained her how to act well.

Then they met a young director by a chance and a producer nominates her daughter as a major actress in a film.  On the other hand, Fong falls in love with the young director though her daughter objects strongly.
