Golden Sun Films Group (Golden Sun) is a worldwide film production and film distribution Hong Kong based company, registered in 1989. The Group is managed by our president, Mdm. Ketsarinh Lan, and through her dedication and meticulous style of management, Golden Sun now stands for quality and professionalism in the areas of film production and distribution.

The services offered by us include film production, co-production, investment, distribution and purchase and sale of film rights. Our films and television series of various genre come from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore and are sold and distributed worldwide especially to Indonesia, Taiwan and Thailand. Our film library stocks more than 300 popular and classic film titles in the action, horror, comedy, romance, mystery and legend genres. We also purchase new films on a regular basis to add to our library.

Our mission is to work with film companies in other countries and China in the various aspects of film production and distribution, producing more films of superior quality and discovering new directing and acting talent. In the area of film production, we are able to produce high quality and entertaining films with the use of digital filming equipment combined with digital film editing and special effects technology and equipment.

Golden Sun is proud to introduce the movie "Painted Skin", a co-production with Ningxia Film Studio. The movie is directed by Gordon Chan and the big name cast includes Donnie Yen, Zhou Xun and Zhao Wei Vicky. It had excellent box office ticket sales of more than 250 million in China and was the movie with the second highest box office ticket sales in 2008. It was named China's most popular movie and received 12 nominations at the 28th Hong Kong Film Awards. We are also announcing the release of the Korean television series "East of Eden", filmed jointly with the major Korean television and radio broadcasting company, MBC. The stellar cast includes Song Seung-heon, Lee Da-hae and Yeon Jeong-hoon.

In 2009, we will begin shooting the movie "A Chinese Ghost Story". This will be the collaboration between big name companies in China, Japan and the USA and a total investment value exceeding 20 million US dollars. A number of other movies in the romance, action, horror and comedy genres are also lined up to begin shooting. Golden Sun will continue to produce many more high quality and entertaining films and television series in the next 3 years.
